The story of this product

This product was crafted from a CrazyFly Sculp 2017 kite, generously donated by Boris, an active and passionate member of the Dutch kitesurfing community.

To preserve the kite’s unique story, we chose to embrace its flaws and hand-cut and sew each piece with care—making sure to use as much of the original material as possible. Every scratch, mark, and fade speaks to its roots as a companion to countless sessions on the water.

We honor that history by providing a uniquely crafted story card with each product, commemorating the kite’s origin and celebrating its new life as a one-of-a-kind accessory.

The mission

At UpKite, we are dedicated to reducing waste in a creative and fun way while celebrating the global kitesurfing community. We rescue damaged and retired kites—materials that would otherwise go to waste—and give them a new life through thoughtful, handcrafted design.

Every product we make preserves the raw, unfiltered story of the kite it came from. By upcycling these unused and broken kites, we honor their past adventures and transform them into meaningful items that continue the spirit of kitesurfing both on and off the water.
